Assam: Gargaon College organized workshop on ‘Innovation, Design, Critical Thinking’

Gargaon College organized a one-day workshop on “Design thinking, Critical thinking, and Innovation Design” under the aegis of its Institutional Innovative Cell recently.

SIVASAGAR: Gargaon College organized a one-day workshop on “Design thinking, Critical thinking, and Innovation Design” under the aegis of its Institutional Innovative Cell recently. The main objective of the programme was to provide awareness on innovation and entrepreneurship to the students.

The resource person Dr Surajit Saikia, IQAC Coordinator and Assistant professor, Department of Economics Gargaon College, explained clearly about the theme of the workshop. His talk focused on identifying challenges in developing innovative ideas. He emphasized the importance of having a clear vision for innovation and business, as well as exploring options and markets that align with that vision. Dr Saikia also highlighted the need for creative solutions to overcome obstacles. Special thanks were extended to Dr Sabyasachi Mahanta, IIC Chairperson and Principal, Gargaon College, for his continuous guidance and encouragement in organizing the event.

A total of 20 students attended the workshop along with several faculty members from the college including Dr Kabita Phukon, Head Department of Mathematics, Dr Nilutpal Chutia, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, and Sandeepa Agarwalla, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany. The workshop was an insightful and informative event that equipped attendees with valuable knowledge and tools to foster innovation and business growth.
