NAGAON: The golden jubilee celebration of Uday Chand Saikia Higher Secondary School at Korchong near Raidongia, concluded with a grand ceremony.
Chhattisgarh Governor Raman Deka attended the closing ceremony of the golden jubilee and ceremonially inaugurated the newly-constructed statue of Lt Uday Chandra Saikia in presence of several dignitaries, including Nagaon-Batadroba MLA Rupak Sarma. In his speech, Deka emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving success. He also stressed the need for the younger generation to be aware of their responsibilities towards the nation.
During the event, a souvenir was also released by noted writer and retired Professor Dr Bhadra Kanta Bora. Bora highlighted the significance of souvenirs in preserving the history and culture of a region.
The event was attended by several prominent personalities, including Promod Bora, social worker Lachit Bordoloi, and Kabin Patar, and others. The closing open session was chaired by Nava Kamal Raja while Professor Muhini Mohan Deka attended as the guest of honour.
