Guwahati: In order to mentor students and help them to hone their skills, the Assam government will launch a 4-year mentorship programme called project 'Arohan'.
In this regard, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Anita Rajan, CEO of Tata STRIVE, and skill development of Tata Trusts and sought corporation from them for the project.
"To mentor our students & help them hone their skills, we will launch a 4-year mentorship programme called Project Arohan. In this regard, met Anita Rajan, CEO of Tata STRIVE, a skill development initiative of Tata Trusts, and sought cooperation for the project," Assam CM tweeted.
In another Tweet, Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that met Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran and urged him to choose Assam as a priority investment destination.
''Glad to spend some valuable moments with Tata Group Chairman Shri N Chandrasekaran.
To give fillip to our development journey in view of the improved security scenario in Assam, I urged @TataCompanies to chose our state as a priority investment destination,'' he tweeted.
During his Mumbai visit, Sarma also met Padma Bhushan Subramanian Ramadorai, former vice chairman of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) where he discussed matters pertaining to TCS, TISS, IIT-G etc and also sought his guidance for excellence in Assam's education with new ideas and technologies.
