TANGLA: Head Assistant of Harisinga Revenue Circle Office in Tangla, Sarat Chandra Bora retired from his active service on Friday. A resident of Sipajhar in Darrang district, he joined the Harisinga Revenue Circle Office in 1999 as a Junior Assistant after being transferred from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Darrang district. Over the years, he was promoted to Senior Assistant and also served at the Mazbat Revenue Circle Office in Udalguri district before rejoining Harisinga Revenue Circle Office, where he completed his service tenure.
On his last working day, a farewell ceremony was held in the office conference hall to honour his retirement. The event, conducted by Circle Officer Madira Begum, was attended by all office staff, mandals, village headmen, and prominent citizens of the Tangla area. The attendees praised and appreciated Bora’s dedication and efficiency throughout his career.
During the ceremony, the office felicitated him with a gamosa, japi, religious books, a traditional Assamese umbrella and a certificate of appreciation.
