DIBRUGARH: The Hindu Kranti Dal (HKD) on Wednesday burnt the effigy of chief advisor of Bangladesh interim government Mohammad Yunus at Thana Chariali in Dibrugarh over atrocities on religious minorities in Bangladesh. The members of Hindu Kranti Dal took out a procession from Dibrugarh old railway station Hanuman mandir raising slogan against the Bangladesh government.
“We demand of the Bangladesh government to stop atrocities on Hindus as soon as possible. We urged the Indian government to protect the rights of the Hindus in Bangladesh. We are ready to protect the Bangladeshi Hindus if the government permits us to do,” said a member of Hindu Kranti Dal.
The HKD urged the Bangladeshi government to ensure the safety and security of all its citizens, including minorities, and provide an environment conducive to practising their religion.
