JAGIROAD: The Jagiroad College in the district of Morigaon ranked second in the state in the India Today Best College Ranking Survey Report announced on June 24. As per this year’s ranking survey report, Digboi College science stream is ranked first and Jagiroad College was declared second. The arts stream of the college got the seventh rank among the arts colleges. As per the national-level ranking report, Jagiroad College science and arts ranked at 138th and 162nd position respectively. This is for the seventh consecutive ranking survey that Jagiroad College participated in the most prestigious ranking survey report in India where Hindu College ranked first among all the participating colleges in India in both arts and science.
Jagiroad College was accredited A plus (A+) grade by NAAC in the year 2023 and the UGC conferred autonomous status upon the college on June 9. The college has maintained a very good track record in various fronts like academic, cultural, games and sports, and co-curricular activities such as yoga, NCC, NSS, and martial arts. The college runs four different streams. The Principal, Dr Bhaben Chandra Neog, expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders and well-wishers of the greater Jagiroad area.
