DIPHU: Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang attended a public meeting on Saturday at the playground of Pam Ingti village in the Namati MAC constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Ronghang assured that the KAAC is dedicated to listening to public grievances and working towards their resolution.
During the event, the CEM honored Gracie Marak, who served as the NCC commander accompanying the Prime Minister at the Republic Day celebration in Delhi. Marak was felicitated with a Karbi turban, a citation, and a cash reward of Rs. 50,000.
The meeting was attended by KAAC Chief Secretary Si-im Taro, local MAC and KAAC Executive Member Ritesh Inghee, MLAs Darsing Ranghang, Bidya Sing Engleng, Rupsing Teron, MP Amarsing Tisso, and other dignitaries.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, a public interaction meeting was held as part of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) initiative at the Dhoujukja playground of Semson Sing Ingti High School in Howraghat. The event, centered around the theme "Let’s unite, let’s interact, let’s develop," aimed to address the issues and concerns of the local community.
Tuliram Ronghang, CEM of KAAC, attended the meeting to hear the concerns and suggestions of the people in the Howraghat MAC area.
Ronghang highlighted that this had been the first official KAAC meeting in the area and clarified that it hadn’t just been a public meeting, but a platform for addressing local problems directly. He assured the people that their views and memorandums would be taken into account after the interaction.
