Assam: NABARD programme held in Biswanath district

An inauguration ceremony and distribution of sanction letters took place in Biswanath district in the presence of NABARD CGM, DGM, DDM, and other officials.

BISWANATH CHARIALI: An inauguration ceremony and distribution of sanction letters took place on Wednesday at Bhimajuli under Sokamatha development Block in Biswanath district in the presence of NABARD CGM, DGM, DDM, and other officials. BM of Indian Bank, IDBI Bank, and LDM also attended the meeting. The event, organized by CADAT, Biswanath Chariali, marked a significant step towards empowering individuals and promoting development in the region.

The programme was inaugurated by CGM of NABARD Loken Das, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering inclusive growth. He said, “These letters symbolize the government’s commitment to transforming lives through financial assistance and resources and the initiative reflects the authorities’ proactive approach in reaching out to communities and addressing their needs.” “It is expected to significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of the region,” he added. During the event, CGM inaugurated solar water pumps in the TDF beneficiary orchard of Dhukharam Basumatary. Sanction letters were also distributed to over four JLG with an amount of seventeen lakh rupees and to TDF beneficiaries of Koilajuli project under PMEGP for nursery development.
