Assam: Nalbari holds district-level training to boost digital agriculture and infrastructure investment

In a significant step towards strengthening digital governance in the agriculture sector, the Directorate of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Nalbari District Agriculture Department, organised two district-level training programmes at the Nalbari District Library Auditorium on Thursday.

NALBARI: In a significant step towards strengthening digital governance in the agriculture sector, the Directorate of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Nalbari District Agriculture Department, organised two district-level training programmes at the Nalbari District Library Auditorium on Thursday.

The first training programme aimed to equip field-level officials with the knowledge and technical skills required to carry out digital crop surveys, manage agricultural databases, implement Agri Stack initiatives, and efficiently execute fertiliser procurement through digital platforms. Participants were also trained on the effective use of digital tools for collecting, managing, and updating agricultural data to ensure better service delivery to farmers.

A second district-level training programme was organised on the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), a flagship initiative aimed at promoting investment in post-harvest management and agricultural infrastructure.
