BOKAKHAT: Multiple accidents occurred last night in Bokakhat, resulting in the death of one young man and serious injuries to three others.
The first accident took place on National Highway 37 near Ikarajan in Bokakhat. A stationary 709 truck (registration number AS03CC7582) was rear-ended by a WagonR vehicle (registration number AS09F0876). The impact severely damaged the front of the WagonR, causing it to be lodged under the truck. Despite efforts by local residents and the use of a crane to extricate the vehicle, the driver and sole occupant Ankur Bora from Lakhoujan, Bokakhat, was declared dead upon arrival at the Bokakhat Shahid Kamala Miri Civil Hospital.
The second accident occurred in Borjuri, Bokakhat, involving a head-on collision between two motorcycles. While returning home from the weekly market in Sapjuri, a motorcycle (registration number AS05Q9153) collided with another bike (registration number AS05W3463) coming from the opposite direction. The crash resulted in serious injuries to the three youths named Bikram Hemram, Raj Baske, and Raju Hajda. Bikram Hemram’s condition is reported to be critical.
