DEMOW: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s party workers are preparing for the impending Panchayat elections. An organizational meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was organized at the Demow Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Building in 95 No Demow Constituency on Saturday. In the meeting, Pabitra Margherita Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles was present and he addressed the BJP party workers at the Demow Jyoti Bishnu cultural building.
In the meeting, Jogen Mohan, Cabinet Minister, Sushanta Borgohain, MLA of 95 No Demow Constituency, Bitupon Raidongia, District President of BJP, Senior BJP Party workers namely Ajay Konwar, Subhas Dutta, Siba Prasad Bodra, and other BJP Party workers were present. A memorandum signed by Sushanta Borgohain, Pranab Chetia, and Siba Prasad Bodra, Vice Chairman of Assam Tea Corporation Limited was submitted to Pabitra Margherita.
In the memorandum, they demanded for permanent stoppage of Nagaland Express, Rangia Express and Jaswantpur Express at Kharahat Railway Station. They requested Pabitra Margherita and the concerned authority to take suitable measures to provide stoppages of all trains that pass through the Kharahat Railway Station.
