TEZPUR: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today led the ceremonial distribution of sanction letters to 3,88,358 Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin beneficiaries across the state from Palashbari, Kamrup. Similar programmes were conducted in every Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) across Assam.
As a part of this initiative, 15,138 sanction letters were distributed to PMAY-G beneficiaries in Sonitpur district today through simultaneous programmes held across its five LACs. For Tezpur LAC, the event was held at Swahid Bakori, Tezpur, where 2,235 beneficiaries received their sanction letters in the presence of MLA of Tezpur LAC Prithiraj Rava and other dignitaries. For Naduar LAC, the ceremony took place at Tupia Pasgaon Samuhik Bhawan, Jamuguri, where 2,929 beneficiaries received their sanction letters in the presence of MLA of Naduar LAC Padma Hazarika, CEO Sonitpur Zilla Parishad Karabi Saikia Karan, Co-District Commissioner of Naduar Co-District Raj Boruah, and other dignitaries. For Barchalla LAC, the distribution was conducted at Bapuji Bhawan, Thelamara, where 3,242 beneficiaries received their letters in the presence of MLA of Barchalla LAC Ganesh Kumar Limbu and other dignitaries. For Rangapara LAC, the event was held at Phulbari Durga Mandap, Rangapara, where 3,289 beneficiaries were given their sanction letters in the presence of MLA of Rangapara LAC Krishna Kamal Tanti and other dignitaries. The ceremony for Dhekiajuli LAC took place at Bhotpara Stadium, Dhekiajuli, where 3,443 beneficiaries received their sanction letters in the presence of District Commissioner of Sonitpur Ankur Bharali, Co-District Commissioner of Dhekiajuli Co-District Dyotiva Bora, and other dignitaries.
