BOKAKHAT: Several families in Rojabari Chariali, Bokakhat, are enduring a severe ordeal. Following recent heavy rainfall, water has entered their homes, causing widespread distress.
To make matters worse, garbage from nearby commercial establishments has also flowed into the residential area, further deteriorating living conditions. Life has become unbearable for the affected families.
The area lacks a proper drainage system between the market and the residential zone, causing stagnant water to remain. Although a small drain exists, it is grossly inadequate. Despite multiple appeals to the Rojabari Gaon Panchayat to widen the drain and prevent garbage dumping, the residents have received no constructive response.
