In the first accident, two young men, identified as Gaurav Bordoloi and Ratan Deuri, had died in Katahjari when their tractor had flipped into a ditch. They had been on their way back from a field. Locals and police had quickly helped, but it had been hard to recover their bodies.
The second reported incident had occurred near the SBI Bank in Morigaon Majmajia, where a dozer truck had collided in chain with a dumper, a Tata Harrier, a Baleno, and a motorcycle. The collision had caused considerable panic among spectators but had been brought under control by Morigaon police.
