DHUBRI: A passionate social activist from Dhubri town, Dipankar Mazumder, has undertaken an initiative to provide drinking water to birds and animals during the extremely dry and scorching summer months.

Mazumder, along with his friends and seniors, placed several drinking water pots at various locations for birds and other animals in Dhubri town on Sunday morning.

Talking to The Sentinel, fellow social activist Madhab Chandra Paul said that Mazumder's humane act reflects not only his empathy for all living beings but also his understanding of the delicate balance between humans, animals, and the environment.

"Realizing the urgent need for accessible drinking water for voiceless creatures during the heat, Mazumder has identified ten important locations across Dhubri town and made arrangements for drinking water for birds and animals," Paul added.

Several senior citizens of Dhubri town opined that these watering points would serve as a lifeline for countless animals and birds struggling to survive in the intense heat.
