TEZPUR: To ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the Class X and Class XII examinations by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from February 15 to April 4, District Magistrate Ankur Bharali has issued a prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. This order is effective immediately and applies to all examination centers in Sonitpur District and will remain in effect until the completion of the examination process.
As per the order, entry within a 50-meter radius of examination centers is restricted to candidates with valid admit cards, supervisory staff, examination checking squads, law enforcement agencies, and government personnel engaged in examination-related duties. Parking and movement of vehicles within 50 meters of the examination centers are prohibited, except for authorized personnel on duty. The use of high-volume loudspeakers, DJs, public address systems, microphones, and similar equipment, whether stationary or mobile, is banned within a 100-meter radius of examination centers. Mobile phones, calculators, bluetooth devices, smartwatches, earphones, and other electronic communication gadgets are not permitted inside the examination premises, except for the center in-charge and authorized personnel. No food stalls or shops will be allowed within a 100-meter radius of the examination centers. Only designated supervisory staff is permitted to guide candidates to their allotted seats.
The order mandates that this notification be displayed at the entrance of all examination centers. Any violation of these directives will invite penal action under Section 223 of BNSS, 2023.
