TEZPUR: A District Disaster Management meeting on flood preparedness for the year 2026–27 was held on Thursday at the Conference Hall of the District Commissioner’s Office, Sonitpur, under the chairmanship of District Commissioner and Chairperson, DDMA Sonitpur, Ananda Kumar Das.
The meeting commenced with a comprehensive review of the flood situation of the previous year based on reports available through DRIMS, setting the context for detailed deliberations on strengthening preparedness mechanisms across the district.
