TEZPUR: Sonitpur Police intensified their crackdown on anti-national activities online, arresting one Dildar Hussain for allegedly expressing pro-Pakistan sentiments through social media posts. The accused, identified as Dildar Hussain, son of Ishrafle Hussain from Khanamukh, Majartika under Tezpur Police Station, was booked under Tezpur PS Case No. 317/2025 and produced before the Tezpur Court.

This development follows a series of similar actions by the police, with at least six individuals having already been jailed for supporting Pakistan on social media. Just a day before, another individual was forwarded to judicial custody from the Gotlong area for similar activities.

The Assam Chief Minister confirmed through a tweet that state authorities are closely monitoring online platforms for anti-national content and will continue to take strict legal measures against such actions.
