JAMUGURIHAT: The Jamuguri regional committee of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, in association with its forty primary committees and in presence of the office bearers of Tezpur district committee of the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha, lodged an FIR at the Jamuguri Police Station against the Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad Assam (TAYPA) today. It is to be mentioned here that some of the members of the TAYPA staged a demonstration at Sonari and burnt down the insignia of Srimanta Sankardev Sangha and the constitution of the organization as well on Monday. The Sangha demanded justice for the incident. “We felt hurt due to the inhuman activity done by the TAYPA towards Srimanta Sankardev Sangha,” said one of the office bearers of the Sangha after submitting the FIR.
