Tezpur: The Assam State Election Commission has released the Draft Panchayat Electoral Roll for the year 2024-25. The roll was published on November 13, 2024, through the OERMS portal, allowing citizens to search for their names using their EPIC number and download the electoral roll from https://ermssec. assam.gov.in. The draft roll is also available on the district website sonitpur.gov.in.
Key Highlights of the Draft Roll (as of Dec 13, 2024): Zilla Parishad Constituencies 20, Anchalik Panchayat Constituencies 8, Gaon Panchayats 88, Wards 880,
Polling Stations 971, Total Electors: 7,32,782, Male Electors 3,65,542, Female Electors 3,67,225 and Other Electors 15.
Citizens are urged to verify their names in the draft roll. Any claims or objections, including requests for additions, deletions, or corrections, can be submitted at the Gaon Panchayat Office or Block Development Office until December 21, 2024. Relevant forms for these requests are available on the OERMS portal. The Election Registration Officers (EROs), primarily the Block Development Officers (BDOs), will process the claims and objections from December 22 to December 26, 2024. The final Panchayat Electoral Roll will be published on December 28.
