Tezpur: In an inspiring initiative to nurture patriotism and civic responsibility among the youth, Tezpur College hosted the Rashtriya Kritagyata Evam Jagrookta Yojna on Saturday. Graced by the esteemed presence of the Governor of Assam, this programme highlighted the crucial role of India’s armed forces in safeguarding the nation’s integrity and sovereignty.

The event featured thought-provoking sessions led by distinguished veterans, including Lt Col AK Nandi (Retd), Nb Sub Tikendra Dahal (Retd), and JWO Kulendra Sarmah (Retd). Sharing their invaluable experiences and unwavering dedication to the nation, they inspired over 235 students and NCC cadets from Tezpur College who actively participated in this impactful programme.

The programme commenced with an engaging briefing on the Rashtriya Kritagyata Evam Jagrookta Yojna, emphasizing the vital contributions of the armed forces to national unity. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the ambitious vision of “Viksit Bharat by 2047,” encouraging the youth to honour and support India’s armed forces while embracing their civic responsibilities.

Veterans fervently conveyed the pride and duty of serving the nation through the armed forces, motivating the youth to channel their energy into community welfare initiatives and innovative solutions for empowering the underprivileged.
