Assam: Three Cattle Thieves Nabbed in Jamugurihat, Handed Over to Police

Three cattle thieves were caught red-handed by the Village Defence Party (VDP) of No. 1 Balijuri, with help from local residents, on Sunday night while stealing cows from Birsha Munda's cowshed.

JAMUGURIHAT: Three cattle thieves identified as Jiten Tanti, Parful Tewa and Dukhiya Rajwar have been caught red handed by a team of Village Defence Party (VDP) of No 1 Balijuri in association with the local residents on Sunday night while they were taking away the cows from the cowshed of one Birsha Munda. Later on, the VDP had handed over the thieves to Jamuguri police who were later sent to jail.

It is pertinent to mention here that cases of cattle head stealing, cattle smuggling are on the rise in and out of the Jamugurihat area.
