BOKAKHAT: Over fifty wild elephants are roaming freely in Numaligarh Tea Estate, causing terror day and night. On Sunday night, a wild elephant attacked the home of Pallabi Bauri, a resident of the estate’s Bor Line, while she was inside with her two daughters. The elephant began demolishing the front of the house around 3 AM. Somehow, the three managed to escape through the back by breaking a bamboo fence, though all of them sustained injuries. The house was left in ruins, with all furniture, including the TV, beds, and furnishings, completely destroyed. Overnight, they lost their home and everything they had struggled for in life.
