Assam: Tinsukia DC Swapneel Paul interacts with meritorious students

DC Swapneel Paul urged meritorious students from 118 schools to develop understanding and love for their subjects to enhance academic attention.

TINSUKIA: Tinsukia District Commissioner (DC) Swapneel Paul, in an interaction with the meritorious students of 118 secondary schools of the district, said that the students should understand and love the subject to increase their attention in their studies.

“We should all set a goal and move forward step by step,” he told the students selected for the Arohan scheme of the education department for the year 2024-25 at the interactive programme held at the Convention Centre on Saturday.

DC Paul said that many areas of life were open for those who had not yet set their goals. “They just have to do their duty properly and work hard and move forward,” he said.

District Superintendent of Police Gaurav Abhijit Dilip also answered various questions of the students and advised them to always be respectful towards their parents and teachers. He also advocated creating awareness among his peers against drugs or child marriage.

Additional Commissioner Mirzana Hussain also answered several questions from the students.

The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Pabitra Kumar Das and Principal of Tinsukia Commerce College Dr. Chaitanya Bora.

The scheme is being implemented by the government of Assam. The Arihant scheme is aimed at providing mentors to the meritorious students with appropriate guidance.

A total of 109 students from 118 higher secondary government schools in the district participated in the programme.

The event was attended by Inspector of Schools, Tinsukia District Circle, Kabita Deka, and District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) Bikash Sharma and Assistant Commissioner Madhurima Dihingia.
