Assam: Tribute paid to senior journalist Bulan Kumar Saikia

Senior journalist Bulan Kumar Saikia passed away at his Naharkatia home. On Sunday evening, the Demow Press Club, in collaboration with the Demow Youth Society, paid their respects with flowers.

DEMOW: Bulan Kumar Saikia, a senior journalist, writer, and poet, passed away on Thursday at his Naharkatia home. On Sunday evening, the Demow Press Club, in collaboration with the Demow Youth Society, paid their respects with flowers. Shekhar Jyoti Dowari, secretary of Demow Press Club anchored the programme. Ajay Kumar Gogoi, adviser of Demow Press Club lit the earthen lamp in front of the picture of Bulan Kumar Saikia. The members of Demow Press Club and members of Demow Youth Society lit incense sticks in front of the picture of Bulan Kumar Saikia.

A minute of silence was also observed as a mark of respect for the departed soul. In the programme Dr.Bijoy Krishna Chetia, adviser of Demow Youth Society, Krishna Gogoi, Gauhati High Court Advocate, Umesh Chetia, president of Demow Press Club, Shekhar Jyoti Dowari, Secretary of Demow Press Club, Dipjyoti Gogoi, President of Demow Youth Society, Karan Gogoi, Adviser of Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti Hindu Jyoti Gogoi, Aurobinda Dey both members of Demow Press Club along with members of Demow Youth Society were present.
