Assam: Two Killed In Road Accident In Jorhat; Another Two Injured

JORHAT: In a devastating road accident, two Kaziranga University students lost their lives in Pulibor, Jorhat, while two female students sustained critical injuries. The tragic incident occurred near Ajan Gaon in Pulinor when the vehicle they were traveling in lost control and crashed into the road divider.

According to reports, the car was carrying four students—two male and two female—when the driver lost control, resulting in a fatal collision. The impact of the crash was severe, instantly killing the two male students. The injured female students were rushed to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) in critical condition.

In another tragic road accident that took place near the petrol pump located at Gereki, Sootea, on March 2, one Ananta Bhuyan, a resident of LB Road, Sootea, sustained serious injuries. According to information, the residents spotted the injured person lying unconscious on the NH15 and informed the Sootea Police about the accident.

Meanwhile, a road accident occurred on March 1 at Bhagawatipara, under the jurisdiction of Palasbari Police Station in the Kamrup district, claiming the lives of two youths and leaving another in a serious state.

According to reports, two motorcycles collided head-on at Bhagawatipara, resulting in the deaths of Samiran Das and Hirakjyoti Das, both hailing from Nahira village. Another rider, identified as Pritam Talukdar, was critically injured in the accident.
