Assam: Vibhajan Vibhishika Memorial Day observed at Kalaigaon

Vibhajan Vibhishika Memorial Day was observed by the Mudwibari Mondol Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday at Kalaigaon.

KALAIGAON: Along with the rest of the country, Vibhajan Vibhishika Memorial Day was observed by the Mudwibari Mondol Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday here at Kalaigaon. The Vibhajan Vibhishika Day is observed in the memory of the victims and sufferings of the 1947 Partition of India.

On the occasion, a huge gathering was organized in the premises of Pragatishil Janamancha at Kalaigaon on Thursday where Assam State BJP President Dilip Saikia spoke about memory of the horrors of Partition. Several noted persons like EM Diganta Barua, MLA Paramananda Rajbongshi and Nabaraj Barua took part in this memorial function.

More than 5,000 BJP workers attended the programme. Moreover, Mudwibari Mondol BJP also held a silent rally throughout Kalaigaon town.
