TINSUKIA: The Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dibrugarh Field Office Government of India, in association with Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), Tinsukia organized a day-long awareness-cum-workshop on ‘Empowering Entrepreneurship with special emphasis on Atmanirbhar Bharat’ at CMTC, Technology Park, Borguri, Tinsukia today.
Aimed at empowering rural women in micro, small, and medium enterprises, the workshop was attended by 60 rural women entrepreneurs from across the Tinsukia district. The programme began with a ceremonial tree plantation, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, followed by Swachhata Hi Sewa initiatives on the campus. Krishna Gogoi, DFE (Non-Farm), outlined the ASRLM initiatives in the district, highlighting opportunities and incentives provided by the government institutions for rural entrepreneurs. Among others who spoke on the occasion were Dhruba Jyoti Sadanidhar, DFE – Financial Inclusion, and Nawal Kishore, the Field Publicity Officer, Central Bureau of Communication, and the coordinator of the event. Kishor also moderated the programme. There was lively interaction among the participants who also desired to have more such programmes in the district.
