GORESWAR: A workshop on library was held under the auspices of the BSM International Institute at Tamulpur College, a leading educational institution in Tamulpur district on Sunday. The workshop was held among all the newly provincialised colleges of BTR and the library authorities of the entire BTR were present at the daylong workshop.
DR. Goutam Kumar Sarma, Deputy librarian, Information scientist Anju Kumar Singh of Tezpur University were present in the workshop as resource persons and explained on the benefits of digital library. What are the benefits and how the software are used were discussed widely with Librarian and their staff in the workshops.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Jogen Boro, Principal of Tamulpur College, and thanked the Chief Executive Member of BTC, Pramod Boro, in the workshop for providing full knowledge on how to help in the use of Digital Library through the software in the future and who has taken steps to digitize the libraries of the colleges immediately in the 10 newly provincialised colleges of BTR.
Dilip Poudel head of BSM International Institute thanked the Tamulpur college authority for providing the opportunity to manage the workshop in Tamulpur College as per the project of the BTC government and hoped that the librarians would be able to remove the liberations of the librarians in the BTR.
