TEZPUR: On the occasion of the World Breastfeeding Week, the IAP Tezpur Branch, in collaboration with IMA Tezpur, organized a special meeting at the IMA Conference Hall in Tezpur. The theme of the celebration was ‘Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support System,’ with the slogan ‘Invest in Breastfeeding, Invest in the Future.’
The event saw active participation from several IMA Tezpur members and nursing students from the School of Nursing, Kanaklata Civil Hospital, Tezpur. Eminent doctors including Dr Shyama Saikia, Dr Rupam Das, and Dr Ranjan Kr Mahanta addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights on the importance of breastfeeding.
An essay writing competition was also held for the nursing students, with nearly 50 participants. The top three winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes.
Among the notable attendees were Nirmala Pradhan, Principal of the Nursing College, Dr Dwipen Kr Mahanta, President of IMA Tezpur, and Dr Rahimuddin Ahmed, Secretary of IMA Tezpur.
