TINSUKIA: The Water Resources Department (WRD) is stepping up its efforts to enhance flood and erosion control across the region, with a strong focus on quality and durability. In a recent development, the Quality Control Division of the Upper Assam Zone has been actively inspecting and testing materials to be used in upcoming infrastructure projects in Tinsukia.
Officials from the division are ensuring that only top-grade materials are approved, maintaining strict standards for construction and implementation. These quality checks are crucial for the long-term success and sustainability of flood and erosion management systems.
This proactive approach by the Water Resources Department reflects a serious commitment to protecting vulnerable areas from natural disasters and ensuring community safety. The department’s continued vigilance in quality control plays a key role in building resilient infrastructure that can withstand the challenges posed by Assam’s dynamic river systems.
