HYDERABAD: A 30-year-old youth from Assam’s Baksa district, Biswajit Nath, lost his life in a tragic construction accident while working on a project in Hyderabad. Nath, a resident of Saudar Bhitha in Baksa, had moved to the city to earn a living and support his daughter’s medical treatment.
The fatal mishap occurred during the installation of a project line in the city’s hilly terrain. A hydra crane malfunction at the construction site led to the incident, resulting in Nath’s untimely death.
Nath’s wife and young daughter are left to deal with the pain of losing him. The community in Saudar Bhitha is shocked and sad, as family and friends mourn the loss of a loved one.
Meanwhile, ealier this month, a middle-aged home guard on flyover construction duty lost his life in an accident at West Jyotinagar in Guwahati's Bamunimaidam on Saturday night, according to an official from the Chandmari police station.
The official stated, "The incident took place around 10:40 pm at the construction site. The victim, identified as Padeshwar Kalita, was reportedly struck from behind by a heavy vehicle, according to eyewitnesses. He was immediately rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment."
