Assam's Tinsukia Shines In Gunotsav 2024; 560 Schools Earn A+ Grade

The outstanding performance of Tinsukia’s schools in Gunotsav 2024 reflects the dedicated efforts of teachers, students and education authorities in driving academic excellence in the district.

TINSUKIA: In a significant achievement, 500 schools in Assam's Tinsukia secured the prestigious A+ grade as it has managed to set a remarkable benchmark in Gunotsav 2024, reflecting the district’s commitment to quality education. Tinsukia now ranks as the best-performing district in Assam as a result of this accomplishment.

A grand incentive distribution ceremony will be held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati's Panjabari on 27th March 2025 at 11:30 AM to honor these schools. The event will be graced by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, alongside Ranoj Pegu, Assam's Minister of Education.

To extend support, meritorious students across Assam, including Tinsukia, will additionally receive tablets as part of the Arohan initiative. Marking a significant step in assurance of education quality, the awarding of the ISO 9001:2015 certification to Samagra Shiksha Assam will be another highlight of the event.

Meanwhile, Minister Ranoj Pegu visited two schools in Kahilipara, Guwahati, earlier in January, as part of the Gunotsav 2025. The schools were Faguna Rava High Secondary School and Lakshminath Bezbarua ME School. The students and teachers of Faguna Rava High Secondary School welcomed the education minister.
