A CORRESPONDENT
DEMOW: An early identification and assessment camp for children with disability was organized by Samagra Shiksha, Demow Block, in collaboration with RBSK, SDMO, BPHC Demow at Demow Girls High School on July 29. The purpose of the programme was to identify the disability of a child through scanning and assessment by the doctors of the RBSK team.
A total of 110 children participated in the programme from various places under the Demow Education Block. In the programme, Dr Sunny Farhad, Dr Jadumoni Handique, Nilutpal Borah, a Pharmacist, Rubi Dehingia, Block Coordinator, and Diganta Barua, from RBSK Demow participated. Apart from them, Naranath Gohain, Block Elementary Education Officer, Prasanta Dehingia, Dipu Kumar Gogoi, Bijoy Laxmi Arandhara, Basanti Gogoi, Anismita Phukan, and Dinamoni Kalita, were present as resource persons. Dipak Borah, District Programme Officer, and Anjuma Changmai, District Community Mobilizer of the Joint Director Health Service Office, were also present.
