JAMUGURIHAT: Acting on a tip off, a team of Biswanath police in association with a team of Sootea police managed to apprehend a female cannabis dealer along with a huge quantity of cannabis from her possession this afternoon. According to information, the joint police team conducted a raid at the residence of one Mamon Hazarika, a resident of Udaypur, and recovered 4.84 kg of cannabis stored for sale. The rail gate area of Sootea has become a hotspot of cannabis trade. Some suspicious youths from far and wide regularly come to this place to purchase cannabis. The police team apprehended the woman and launched an investigation.
