PATHSALA: Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass confirmed that the BJP will field candidates in all five Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) seats in Baksa district for the upcoming election. Speaking to party workers in Salbari, he emphasized the goal of winning at least 18 seats across the Bodoland Territorial Region.

The Salbari candidate, if victorious, is expected to be named an Executive Member of the BTC. Dass urged strong preparation, saying, “I’m keeping track of all issues at the local level, even minor ones, and working to solve them before the polls.”

He also highlighted that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit Baksa on July 5 to review local party readiness.

He criticized the Congress, blaming it for unrest in the region, and claimed that under BJP rule, “not even a single hair of a minority person has been harmed.”
