KOKRAJHAR: The department of Education, Bodoland University, organized a two day ICSSR-sponsored national seminar on “National Education Policy, 2020: Prospects and Challenges” at Bodoland University recently.
The inaugural session began with the introduction of the theme, purpose and structure of the seminar by Dr. Jeemina Baglari, coordinator of the seminar and Assistant Professor, department of Education, Bodoland University. The seminar was inaugurated by the guests like Prof (Dr.) B.L. Ahuja, Vice Chancellor of the Bodoland University, Prof. Nil Ratan Roy, department of Education, Tezpur University, Tezpur, Prof. Nikme S.C. Momin, Department of Education, NEHU, Tura Campus & Prof. A. Ibemcha Chanu, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management, Bodoland University by lighting of the lamp.
Prof. A. Ibemcha Chanu was the chairperson of the seminar. The welcome address was given by Dr. Rose Mary Koch, Convener of the seminar & Head, department of Education, Bodoland University, followed by key note address by Prof. Nil Ratan Roy. In his speech he had emphasized on the importance of National Education Policy, 2020 in today’s world and highlighted some of the challenges faced by the students. The chief guest of the inaugural session Prof. (Dr.) B.L. Ahuja, Vice Chancellor, Bodoland University, had also emphasized on the importance and implementation of National Education Policy 2020.
Rangjalu Basumatary, Organizing Secretary of the seminar gave the vote of thanks. All the distinguished guests in the dais were felicitated with an Aronai, mementos and proceedings of the seminar as a token of respect and appreciation.
