Tezpur: Earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale jolted Sonitpur in Assam at 9:50 AM on Monday, May 31, National Center for Seismology said. No damage or casualty has been reported so far.
Mild tremors were also felt in Guwahati. Sonitpur has been experiencing shocks since the big tremor measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale that shook up most parts of Guwahati at around 7:52 AM on April 28, 2021. The epicentre was Sonitpur.
Further, EQ Parameters: M: 3.8 with a Latitude of 26.69 N, Long: 92.35 E, and Depth of 24 Km.
