KOKRAJHAR: Several hundreds of candidates who applied for BTC’s Grade-III written examination, scheduled to be held on June 15 for various departments, were left in confusion as the circular of the Central Selection Board (CSB) did not mention whether a candidate can apply for more than one department. The CSB on Saturday clarified that the candidates who applied for multiple departments will have to appear for the written examination on June 15 and those who passed the written test, their testimonials would be thoroughly checked and then be entitled for only one department.

Talking to mediapersons, the Chairman of the CSB, Dipak Kr Basumatary, said that there was an option for applying for more than one department. He said that the candidates would be sent online admit cards as per their selected options and the examination for all departments would be conducted by the Bodoland University on June 15. He said that the successful candidates of the written examination would be called for viva where they would decide on their option of department.

Basumatary said that there were 416 posts in various departments and altogether 47,068 candidates had applied. He also confirmed that the written test would be held in 75 centres of BTC.

Meanwhile, the President of the ABSU, Dipen Boro, said that he learnt about some discrepancies in sending online admit cards to candidates for the ensuing Grade-III posts of BTR. He said that he had a telephonic conversation with Dr Dipak Kr Basumatary, Chairman of the CSB, and asked him to look into the matter.
