DHUBRI: The Dhubri district administration distributed financial assistance to beneficiaries under Microfinance and PMFME schemes at Raja Prabhat Chandra Barua Stadium today.
Speaking on the occasion, Assam Minister for Power, Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship, Health, Education, and Research Shri Prashant Phukon said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, a new era of development has ushered in. He has taken a bold step by providing Rs 12,000 crore to make a large number of women debt-free.”
Dhubri Deputy Commissioner Shri Dibakar Nath, said, “Today, No Due Certificates will be distributed to 4,104 beneficiaries under Microfinance, Category-3, Phase-2. Additionally, Rs 6,31,52,765 will be provided to families affected by floods and erosion in 2024 for house construction, agriculture, fisheries, sericulture, and weaving.” The programme was attended by prominent personalities, including NTPC, Green Energy Director (Independent) Bimal Oswal, Chairman of Gauripur-Dhubri Development Authority Dipak Kumar Saha, former MLA of Golakganj Ashwini Sarkar, and President of Dhubri District BJP Prasenjit Dutta and the Chairman of Dhubri Municipal Board.
