Dhubri's Health Camp for Children with Disabilities Organized by NHM Under RBSK Initiative

Under the initiative of the NHM, Dhubri and as part of the RBSK, an International Day of Persons with Disabilities health camp was organized in the premises of Jawahar Hindi High School.

DHUBRI: Under the initiative of the National Health Mission, Dhubri and as part of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), an International Day of Persons with Disabilities health camp was organized on Wednesday in  the premises of Jawahar Hindi High School. The event commenced with an inaugural address by the school’s Principal, Deepak Kumar Prasad, and the District Coordinator of RBSK, Sirajul Islam.

During the programme, a complete health check-up was conducted for all children aged 0 to 18 years, with free medicine distribution. Additionally, children with disabilities were identified for special attention and arrangements were made to provide them with free treatment through the RBSK. The health check-up camp catered not only to the students of Jawahar Hindi Higher Secondary School but also to students from other schools across the district. The programme was attended by several medical experts, including Dr. Mithu Barman (Pediatrics), Dr. Biswajyoti Das (ENT Specialist), and Dr. Pranami Baishya (Ophthalmology), along with other RBSK medical officers including Dr. Nazmul Haque Mondal, Dr. Sanam Mondal, ANMs, and pharmacists.
