DIBRUGARH: Expressing resentment over Vice-Chancellor Dr Ranjit Tamuli's alleged involvement in corruption, patronization of commission raj and other unethical practices for self gain, the students under the aegis of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) unit of Dibrugarh University (DU) thronged before the administrative building of the university on Monday and demanded a high-level inquiry into all allegations. Dr Ranjit Tamuli, since his joining in DU as Vice-Chancellor has been in one controversy after another which has sparked widespread criticism among faculties in general and academic circle in particular. The employees' union and DUTU have written a letter to the VC seeking a clarification on such allegation, but it is alleged that the VC, instead of giving any response to the request of DUTSU and DUEU, had verbally assaulted some of the faculty members with abusive language which irked the members of both the associations.
