HAFLONG: In a significant step towards enhancing educational standards in Dima Hasao District, Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC), officially distributed appointment letters to 340 candidates for teaching positions in the Elementary Education Department and Government Provincialized High/Higher Secondary Schools.
The ceremony took place at the picturesque Haflong Lake Amphitheatre and was attended by several Executive Members (EMs) and Members of the Autonomous Council (MACs) on Thursday.
During the event, Gorlosa expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his unwavering support and commitment to rapid developmental initiatives in Dima Hasao. He proudly declared the district as the top performer in competitive exams amongst the ST hills category. Emphasizing the importance of a transparent and fair appointment process, Gorlosa encouraged the newly appointed teachers to elevate education in Dima Hasao and to foster a progressive mindset amongst their students.
CEM Gorlosa also recognized the tireless efforts of his council team and acknowledged the guidance of Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, which aided in the successful completion of the recruitment process. He introduced a remarkable initiative called “Super 30,” designed to provide coaching for aspiring candidates preparing for competitive exams, further enhancing educational opportunities in the district.
Donpainon Thaosen, EM Education, congratulated the successful candidates, expressing hope that these new appointments would significantly address the existing challenges within the education sector. Rupali Langthasa echoed these sentiments, underscoring the potential positive impact on the future of education in Dima Hasao.
This initiative marks a crucial step in strengthening the educational landscape of Dima Hasao, with a collective effort to nurture and develop both students and educators alike.
