BOKAKHAT: The Ghanakanta Saikia and Tileswari Saikia Memorial Library in Kamargaon, under Bokakhat sub-division held the second annual district-level drawing and open quiz competition at Kamargaon Higher Secondary School.
Dr Gautam Kumar Saikia, Principal of Kamargaon College, inaugurated the competition and remarked that while many people did many things for society, very few steps were taken toward the intellectual development of students. “The initiative taken by the library today is truly commendable,” he said.
At the beginning of the event, several notable personalities were felicitated, including Indrajit Phukan, In-Charge Principal of Kamargaon Higher Secondary School, Malabika Hazarika, Head Teacher of Kamargaon Girls’ Higher Secondary School, retired teacher Ananta Barukial, and retired postmaster Gobin Das, among others.
The open quiz competition was conducted by the Numaligarh Quiz Forum. The forum’s President, Mousumi Gogoi, was felicitated at the event. Winners of the competitions were awarded cash prizes, certificates, and gifts.
