DIBRUGARH: In its continuous drive against drug cartels, a police team headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police, SJ Baruah, arrested one Nizamuddin Ahmed (24) from Zapora Gaon on Saturday, and recovered 13 small plastic containers of heroin from his possession.
Nizamuddin, a resident of Amolapatty Rail gate, was arrested by police while he was trying to escape a police raid. However, police chased and later arrested him from Zapora Gaon. Further investigation is on.
