JAMUGURIHAT: A body of a dead elephant was spotted in the field of Sitalmari to the north of Sootea on Tuesday. A team of forest officials and veterinary reached the site. The veterinary team conducted a postmortem and it was found food poison was the cause. Two tusks measuring 4 feet were removed by the team of veterinary doctors and the tusks were taken into possession by the forest officials.
