TINSUKIA: The Excise branch under Margherita subdivision comprising of Digboi and Margherita Excise Circles conducted several raids in the colliery areas on Friday and seized about 150 litres of fermented wash, 17 litres of Illicit Distilled Liquor and 1 set of distillation apparatus.
The operation was conducted by a joint team led by Satyam Priyam, Inspector of Excise, Digboi and areas covered were Lal Gola, Namdang colliery, Rang Ring and Ledo under Margherita excise circle and 2 no. Golai and Digboi Chariali under Digboi excise circle.
