JAGIROAD: Former president of Morigaon district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Padma Kanta Kakoty breathed his last at his own residence at Palahguri in the district of Morigaon. He was 97 and was suffering from prolonged illness. He was the president of Morigaon district Tribal Board. His demise was deeply mourned. Former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited his house during the Ashirwad Yatra recently.
