PATHSALA: Anjanjyoti Nath’s success in the APSC exam has been a challenging and inspiring story. Balancing his job and studies, he strived to achieve his goal. Recently, the results of the APSC exam was announced, with Anjan securing the 58th position of AAO. Among the 235 candidates who successfully cracked this exam, there were a few individuals whose stories are truly inspiring.
One such individual is 27-year-old Anjanjyoti Nath who is working as Sub Inspector, Salbari PS, Baksa, Assam Police, who achieved the post of Assistant Account Officer. He is the son of Manik Chandra Nath and Nirupama Kalita of Barama (Nathpara). He completed his degree from Bajali college, in Pathsala.
During college life apart from studies he was involved in social works also. He along with his friends established New Hopes Foundation which is an NGO that voluntarily donates blood to the needy. It has also a book bank and a cloth bank.
During Covid-19 they helped people distributing free sanitizers, masks etc. Anjanjyoti Nath aspires to be an entrepreneur as well. During his college life he along with friends started a farm of local chicken, duck etc. and opened a shop named “Aamis” in Pathsala.
Being a quizer & debater and also having background in student politics he urged youth to be ready to learn in any situation.
Anjan said, “It was always my dream to clear the exam. I didn’t get fixed time for studies as I was a trainee cadet Sub-Inspector undergoing rigorous training for one year at Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, Dergaon. But apart from studies being a traveler and a good listener helped me crack this exam.
“My parents and other members of the family inspired me to clear the exam. They kept supporting me to focus on my goal,” he said. He also thanked the family of Assam Police, All his teachers, guides, friends and well wishers for their support and guidance.
