Gorkha Villages in Jamugurihat Celebrate Teej Festival with Pomp and Grandeur

Gorkha women across Jamugurihat’s villages mark the traditional Teej festival with vibrant rituals, songs and dances

JAMUGURIHA: Gorkha-dominated villages of the greater Jamugurihat area including Samar Dalani, Gameripal, Panpur, Rangachakuwa, Balijuri, Khakan Basti, Ajarguri, Koroiyani, Dolapani, Gosai Chapari, Gorpal, Bokabil, Charduwar, Lokra, Tupiya, Samdhara, Jaisidhi, Monai, Gutibari, Lakhangarh, Batiaroka, Dipatola, Hakama, Amdara, etc., observed the Teej festival with pomp and grandeur on Monday. In many parts, traditional as well as folk culture was demonstrated by the women after performing puja.
